2. To The Beautiful You
The story follows a girl, Koo Jae-Hee, who decides to disguise herself as a boy and attend an all-male high school that her idol also attends. This is provoked when she see finds out from American TV that he will no longer be on TV. Her idol, Kang Tae-Joon, is a gold medalist at high jumping but decided to call it quits after an injury. However, when they first meet, things took off at a rough start... especially considering they are roommates... How long can she conceal her gender until her identity is revealed? Guess you'll have to watch it to find out!
3. You're Beautiful
This one is similar to "To The Beautiful You". A young woman, Ko Mi-Nam, along with her brother, Ko Mi-Nyeo, grew up never knowing who their parents are. Ko Mi-Nam has her heart set on becoming a nun and her brother is a musician. On her way to take a flight to Rome, she is stopped by her brother's manager, Ma-Hoon Lee. Due to a serious injury her brother had, he was sent to America to recover his health. He then asks Ko Mi-Nam to pretend to be her brother only for a day so he can become part of their band ANJELL. However, what was only suppose to be a day act for her, becomes a prolonged stay, having to also keep her identity remain hidden from the other members. If you love music-themed dramas, comedy, and romance, then this drama is the number one pick for you!
4. Birth of a Beauty
This drama has revenge, conspiracies, comedy, and romance all in one. If that package appeals to you, then I strongly recommend you check this one out! We follow the main lead, Sa Geum Ran, who is an overweight and unattractive ahjumma. And the Doctor, Han Tae-Hee, who suffers from broken heart syndrome due to an incident in his past. Sa Geum Ran finds out her husband is cheating on her and consequently decides to go on a show called Change, a show that selects people to do plastic surgery on... in which... she wasn't chosen for plastic surgery. After the show, she later on has a quarrel with her husband because of him cheating on her. Sa Geum Ran runs away in tears, gets in her car and drives off. This is when she tragically dies in a car accident when she drove off a cliff into a lake... or so they thought. She was presumed to be dead since no body was found. However, she survived the fall and seeks the Doctor's house to beg him to change her looks. He agrees to do so under the condition that she helps him get the woman he loves, back. However, in this process, the Doctor begins to fall in love with her instead. And that, "What you see isn't everything."
5. My Love From Another Star
Do Mi Joon is an alien from another planet who lands on Earth during the Joseon Dynasty period. Due to him missing his flight back home, he is stuck on Earth but holds a perfect no-aging appearance. He also has superhuman abilities such as great hearing, visions, and super speed. After an incident that happens during his time on Earth, he develops a deranged view of human beings. He does not want anything to do with them. However, he meets actress, Cheon Song-Yi, whom he starts gaining feelings for. But with only 3 months left on earth before he returns home, what will become of this romance between the two?
