In the beginning, there was nothing. The emptiness of space and time coated every inch everything and nothing at once. It was like looking through glass with no natural or manmade creation on the other side. And then came Niantic. They saw this nothingness and envisioned the world vast and complex. And so, they began their work. On the first day, Niantic created the Professor Oak and Ash. On the second day, they created the majestic Pokemon to fill the world. As the days passed, Niantic added trading cards, new generations of Pokemon, more characters, and enough merchandise to give all the necessities of life. And then, on the last day, they created their magnum opus, pièce de résistance. Pokemon Go.
And so here are the top 4 Pokemon Go stories.

"A few nights ago my boyfriend and I had a rare day off together. We both work odd hours so that when I get home, he’s at work and when he gets home I’m asleep. As a result, we generally wake up past 3pm and stay up until 6am.
Anyway, we decided to hop on our scooter a little after 10pm and go Pokemon hunting along the beach. We had a blast. There were no cars out. So with one hand tight around his waist and the other holding onto my phone for dear life, I acted as a guide to any pokestops, especially the ones that had lures activated.
I wound up catching 4 new Pokemon, including a Blastoise and he caught a Snorlax! By the time we got home around 4am, our butts were sore, my thighs cramping from holding on to him, but it was so much fun!"

"My dinner was due in about 10 minutes, and I realised I had no mayonnaise in the cupboard.
I said to my mum: “No worries, I’ll just go to the corner store”.
My mother was so shocked that she followed me out the door questioning my decision. She was even more shocked when she watched me walk past my car.
“What are you doing?”
“I’m walking” I replied.
I had a 10km egg, so the walk was important and it'd only take 10 minutes before I’m back home.
I got to the store and got my mayonnaise. As I came out, I saw that my local park had 4 lures. I couldn’t resist diverting my walk home so I could get involved.
Feeling slightly anxious, I entered the park to see 7 boys in their early 20’s turn and look at me, they knew straight away.
They called me over to sit and join them and we started talking about everything from teams and levels to gyms and routes.
To sum up for you how this story ends. My walk took a total of 90 minutes to get back, my dinner was burnt when I got home and I made some great new acquaintances."

"So I played Pokemon Go a few days ago and I met two guys who I got along with. I texted one of them after I got home and then I realized he was my best friends ex. It was pretty hilarious because we actually had met before but only for like 5 minutes and it was dark so he couldn’t remember me as well. I told my friend.
Oh boy. She got so mad! It kinda got out of hand and she asked me the most ridiculous questions like “are you choosing him over me?”
She hasn't talked to me since.
I'm still hanging out with him and his friends though.".

"At my local park behind the public pool there are three pokestops. A lot of people gather there and set lures, you can find over 20 people just chilling out and sharing food, battery chargers, or battling the nearby gym.
Today there was a fire off in the mountains, so it was dangerous to sit outside because of all the smoke in the air. Well I'm the admin of my city's Pokemon go page, so I make a post inviting everyone down to the nearby shaved ice place instead, which is also a pokestop. I asked the manager if I could lay down a lure and I found out even he was playing so he said yes! I ended up bringing him a lot of business because so many people flocked to his place for the Pokemon and ended up buying shaved ice and tea!
(Apparently there was also a picture circling of a charizard being seen near the fire, which is really hilarious.)"
