Did you know that many of the best Christmas songs were composed by Jews? I bet you didn't. "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," "Let It Snow", "Santa Baby" are just a few of the songs that Jewish composers wrote. Since it's time for the holidays, I decided to come up with a top list of the best Chanukah songs. You'll soon see why Chanukah song parodies are better than the much over-played Christmas songs.

1. "Latke Recipe" by The Maccabeats (parody of "Shut Up and Dance")

2. "Candlelight" by The Maccabeats (parody of "Dynamite" by Taio Cruz)

3. "I Light It" NCSY Chanukah Musical Remix by Six13 (parodies of "Baby" by Justin Bieber, "Heartless" by Kanye West, and "I Like It" by Enrique Iglesias)

4. "All About That Neis" by The Maccabeats (parody of All About That Bass by Meghan Trainor)

5. "Chanukah Shake It Off" by Six13 (parody of Shake It Off by Taylor Swift)

6. "Watch Me Spin Drey-Drey" Chanukah Jam by Six13 (parody of "Watch Me" by Silento, "Hotline Bling" by Drake, "Flika Da Wrist" by Cheddar Da Connect)

7. "A One Direction Hanukkah Epic Parody Mashup" by MJE (parodies of "Perfect", "Live While We're Young", "Story Of My Life", "Drag Me Down", "Best Song Ever")

8. "All I Want For Christmas Is Jews" by Jenny Hall (parody of "All I Want For Christmas is You by Mariah Carey)

9. "Black and Jewish" by Funny Or Die (parody of "Black and Yellow" by Wiz Khalifa)

10. "Rolling In The Deep Chanukkah/Hanukah Song" by Ash Soular (parody of "Rolling In The Deep" by Adele)

11. "Chanukah Song" by Adam Sandler (from his movie Eight Crazy Nights) and yes, Adam Sandler is Jewish!

12. "Fancy Chanukah/Hanukah Parody" by Ash Soular (parody of "Fancy" by Iggy Azalea)

13. "Hanukah Favorite Time of Year" by Too $hort

14. "Hanukkah Oh Hanukkah" different artists have versions of this song. It wouldn't be Hanukkah without adding in this classic song.

15. "I Have A Little Driedel" different artists sing this song, too

16. "S'vivon Sov Sov Sov" original by Julie Silver but this version is better.

17. "Chanukah Jewish Rock Of Ages Official Hanukkah Song" by Lenny Solomon (parody of "Twist and Shout", "Stayin Alive", "Great Balls of Fire", "Born To Be Wild", "Don't Stop Believing", "Can't Touch This", "Move It-Move It", "Move Like Jagger")

18. "Chanukah Light" by Ari Goldwag

19. "It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Hanukkah" by Brennen Tyler (parody of "It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas")

20. "Eight Nights Hanukkah Mashup" by Standfour (parody of "Some Nights" by Fun, "Die Young" by Ke$ha, "Live While We're Young" by One Direction)

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
