Music is my everything. I didn’t fully realize how happy music made me until I became really in tune with what I decided to listen to, what I liked and didn’t particularly like, and what lyrics spoke to me. I didn’t realize how deeply songs would connect with me, what state of mind they would put me in, what emotions I would feel, what would come up in my imagination as I listened to songs. I didn’t realize the impact of the sound a simple guitar would have on me, the raspiness of deep voices that would give me goosebumps. I didn’t realize how fully music completes me and gives me a feeling of one-ness.
I have a feeling that most people can relate to this, to whatever extent that seems fitting. Music is for enjoyment, usually. Radio play is for popularity, what the common listeners enjoy and vote to have played, and not usually my sort of thing. I can’t exactly pinpoint my favorite genre of music; all I can say about it is: “I like what I like.”
However, this is not a long sappy article about the arts of music and all of its wonders, that is one for another day. This is an article about, previously mentioned in one of my previous articles, the one, the only, Harry Styles.
We all know at least one of his songs from his new self-titled album. If you haven’t heard AT LEAST "Sign of the Times" by now, you really do live under a rock. I don’t make the rules, that is the truth.
Released on the 12th of May 2017, Harry Styles by Harry Styles has already reached No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 in less than a month, as well as reaching No. 1 in over TEN countries. Mind blown.
Okay, so we all get it, he’s super famous, very popular, extremely handsome, and overall just killing the actual game this year. And so, based on these i n c r e d i b l e ten songs, I’ve picked out my top 18 favorite lyrical lines from this album that speak to me on every level. Or are just super clever. Either one. Clever guy.

Despite the fact that he has emerged from One Direction as a pop singer, he's clearly shown his deeper, emotional side as a soloist. Proud of you H!
I hope this has convinced some of you to give a listen to this album, it's quite fantastic. Yay for music!
