I admit it; I’m a Twitter newbie! I created my account a while ago in March to widen my social media presence as a writer and lifelong learner and have yet to fully understand every exciting feature this platform has to offer. However, as I was scrolling down my feed a day or so ago, one of the trending hashtags caught my eye— #catbooks.

As a lover of both the furry creatures and huge novels, I followed my curiosity and checked it out. What I found could only be described as purr-fect!

1. "Rosemary's Baby"

This classic horror novel would sound quite different if it's maternal protag was foaming at the mouth!

2. "The Scarlet Letter"

...Is that a new Arm & Hammer formula?

3. "Slaughterhouse-Five"

A cat's gotta do, what a cat's gotta do!

4. "A Tale of Two Cities"

This tweet got me with its double pun.

5. "The Book of Mormon"

"This cat will change your life!"

6. "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo"

Where can I get that paw-some ink?!

7. "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings"

In the words of Tweety Bird, "I tawt I taw a puddy tat!"

8. "A Streetcar Named Desire"

That seems like an odd name to yell when you have a dead bird dropped at your feet. But, to each their own!

9. "The Perks of Being a Wallflower"

Remember: some houseplants are toxic if ingested by our furry friends. That's not much of a perk!

10. "Eat, Pray, Love"

These are feline words to live by!

11. "The Chronicles of Narnia"

No wonder the ruler of Narnia is a giant lion!

12. "Catch-22"

Twenty-two scratches? Ha! That's on a good day.

13. "The Great Gatsby"

Nothing says fancy like a tuxedo cat!

Have a paw-sitively wonderful day!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
