New Years Eve may be the biggest night of partying in the world.  Everyone has their traditions, but one thing we all can agree upon: we want to rage.  When most of us hear the words “New Years Eve”, we automatically think of New York City.  However there are many other New Years Eve celebrations in the world, that make the parties in New York City look tiny.  Here is a list of the best places to bring in the New Year.

1.     New York City, New York- this city gets the most hype out of anywhere, and for a good reason.  With performances from some of America’s most famous artists to the legendary ball drop at midnight, this is a classic New Year’s Eve night

2.     Las Vegas, Nevada- the truth is, nowhere throws down quite like Vegas.  Although any night in Vegas is one for the books, New Years Eve is definitely on a different level.  The strip is packed with over 300,000 people, you can see legendary performances at almost every hotel, and with all the rooftop bars in Vegas, you are guaranteed an amazing view for the multiple firework shows

3.     Valparaiso, Chile- with celebrations going from the 28th to the 1st, this city attracts over one million people to bring in the New Year.  Not to mention the gigantic beach party that goes until sunrise with an amazing twenty-minute firework show.

4.     Reyjavik, Iceland- starting with a symbolic bonfire to burn away the troubles of the previous year, this city loves to celebrate.  The parties never stop; unless it’s to watch over 500 tons of fireworks go off.

5.     Bratislava, Slovakia- with a love for both partying and music, this city divides itself into “party zones” and “concert zones” making sure to have something for everyone, even that means splitting the night between both. There are concerts, open-air dance parties, and of course, firework shows.

6.     Paris, France- known as “the city of lights” New Years Eve festivities certainly back this up.  Festivities include street parties, an amazing lightshow over the Eiffel Tower, and of course, plenty of champagne to go around.

7.     Bahamas- beach parties and fireworks are a guarantee, but the gigantic street parades attract most of the people.  If you can manage to get up, the real party takes place January 1st, celebrating the Bahamian version of Mardi Gras.

8.     Edinburgh, Scotland- well to start it off, this celebration lasts four days.  It includes massive street parties, a huge torchlight parade, and plenty of festivities for everyone.

9.     Sydney, Australia- with over a million people attending and a billion people watching on TV, Sydney has the best firework show in the harbor.  With aerial acrobatics over the water, and a Harbor of Light Parade with over 50 ships, Sydney brings in the New Year very brightly.

10. Hong Kong- although similar to the celebration in New York City, there is no competition.  This gigantic celebration has the best display of lights and fireworks in the world, ending with their own replication of dropping the ball.

11. Niagara Falls- although the parties and music are great, it’s the light shows that attract most of the people.  With over 120 lighting displays incorporating over 3 million lights, this is just the introduction to the firework show of over 2,000 pounds of fireworks.

12. Berlin, Germany- known as one of the biggest party cities in the world, Berlin attracts over a million people to celebrate the New Year.  Known as the Party Mile, the street is lined with 1.2 miles of music stages, food booths, and of course, drink booths.  After this people head to clubs for over 12 hours of New Years Eve raging.

New Years Eve brings the best parties which may or may not lead to the worst decisions.  However, choosing to celebrate in any one of these places is the best decision you could ever make.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
