Everyone is looking for something to do in the summer. We no longer have classes to worry about, so we have to find something else to fill the void. I've come up with a list of some really fun activities to do in the summer that will fill that gap perfectly and they are things to do when you don't want to break the bank!

1. Go To The Lake/ City Pool

Grab a few friends and head to your local lake! It's a super fun way to get your tan on and cool off a bit!

2. See A Movie At A Drive-In Theater

Tickets for these theaters are relatively inexpensive and it is a great way to spend time with friends and cure the summer disease- boredom.

3. Grab A Friend And Go Shoot Some Cool Instagram Pictures

C'mon, we all want our feeds to look pretty. Take a friend or two and have them take pictures of you all around the city or take some pictures with them in them. If you just walk or drive around you can find some really awesome backgrounds.

4. Camp In Your Backyard

Camping with your friends or family can be really fun. Just take a sleeping bag outside and watch the stars as you fall asleep. Don't take any food or you WILL attract wild animals!

5. Write In A Journal

Write about your crushes, you wildest dreams, and even your fondest memories!

6. Rearrange Your Bedroom

Doing this can make you feel like you're living in a whole new space! Throw away some of the things you haven't even looked at in years, it WILL make you feel better.

7. Give Yourself An At-Home Spa Day

This could do wonders for your mental health, skin, and help to bring that inner beauty out! It can also make you feel super clean (and cure that summer bored feeling).

8. Make Something Crafty And Give It To Someone You Love

Everyone loves getting gifts from their kids/ grandkids, no matter the extent of how expensive or how much time was spent making it. Brighten their day while filling you free-time summer gap!

9. Take Some Buzzfeed/ Internet Quizzes

You HAVE to see which Kardashian you relate most to, or if you are an introvert or extrovert based on your restaurant order.

10. Make A Youtube Video About Literally Anything

The internet is a really awesome place. It is also a place where a video of a cat twirling around in circles can go viral. Who knows, maybe you'll look back on them one day and be happy you have those memories to hold on to.

11. Do A Workout/ Get Fit

Working out does wonders for your body, take your boredom and turn it into fitspiration!

12. Earn Some Money $$$

You can earn some extra money by selling your old things on apps such as letgo, or you can make some money by taking surveys online, or just get a job! You could fill your summer by working, not the most fun, but it is still an option!

13. Lastly, Just Spend Time With Friends And Family

Even if you're still bored, at least you won't be bored alone. After all, they do love you.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
