Now don't get me wrong, there are many things wrong with each of these movies or TV shows. We don't all have wet t-shirt contests or saved parking spots. But some of the components of sororities are completely right and worth the struggle.

1. "Sydney White"

I am a giant dork, and just watching this movie made me want to join a sorority even more.

2. "House Bunny"

If there is one thing that people need to know about sororities, it is that we are not dumb. In fact, most sororities have a GPA requirement to stay in the sorority. So the next time you call us dumb, I'm going to need you to refer back to your GPA. You're welcome.

3. "Sorority Wars"

Seeing this scene made me think that not every sorority girl needs a knight in shining armor to survive. And now that I know my sisters, I'm glad I was right.

4. "Legally Blonde"

With all of the things going in my life, I can still graduate. If Elle Woods went to college, dammit, so can I!

5. "Legally Blonde 2"

"Hey, Allison, it's cookie!" If you don't get this reference, I have nothing to say to you. If Elle can gather her sorority sisters from all around the United States, then there is no way yours will ever leave you. They will always be there for you.

6. "So Undercover"

This fraternity guy dream might be true, but not all frat guys are as nice as Nicholas here.

7. "Greek"

We all have that small group of sisters that we are extra close with. They are the girls you will be friends with for a very long time. They have seen you cry, laugh and even twerk. But that's okay.

8. "Scream Queens"

At first, sorority girls seem nice and gentle. But under all of the "Lilly Pulitzer," "Michael Kors" and "Uggs," there is a girl taking off her earrings and rubbing Vaseline all over her face.

9. "Neighbors 2"

Although Neighbors 2 hasn't come out yet, anything with Chloe Grace Moretz will make me want to join the cause.

10. "Sorority Boys"

Some sororities get the bad rep of being judgmental, but not all sororities are like that. If these three boys can dress as women and still be accepted into a sorority, then there is hope for everyone.

11. "Monsters University"

If one person has an enemy, we all share that same enemy. So you better watch out.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
