There has been a lot of talk about whether or not Spongebob Squarepants–the OG of cartoons–will be cancelled. I am here to tell you that is false. Spongebob is not getting cancelled. And while that news will be a relief to some, to me it's not. I love Spongebob, I have no shame admitting that. But if we're being honest, the show has run its course. The Spongebob today is not the same as it was while I was growing up. Let's reminisce on some of the all time best episodes of Spongebob Squarepants.

1. Pizza Delivery – Season 1 Episode 5

*in soulful voice* THE KRUSTY KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABBY PIZZA, IS THE PIZZA FOR YOU AND.....MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

No more needs to be said about this episode.

2. Idiot Box – Season 3 Episode 4

Okay, funny story about this episode. I legit as a kid believed what Spongebob was doing was more than his imagination, and that him and Patrick were fighting pirates in the box. So I waited to get a big enough box and when I was home alone I climbed inside of it....and needless to say not much happen.

3. Graveyard Shift – Season 2 Episode 16

The Hash Slinging Slasher!!!

4. Chocolate With Nuts – Season 3 Episode 12

If you and your friends don't go up to each other randomly screaming "chocolate" then you're not living life to it's fullest potential.

5. Club Spongebob – Season 3 Episode 2

6. Band Geeks – Season 2 Episode 15

Is mayonnaise an instrument?

But seriously though, talk about a plot twist. They did that at the end. Yas.

U IS FOR URANIUM....BOMBS.

I actually really wanted to believe Plankton and Spongebob were going to be best friends. Sigh.

9. The Camping Episode – Season 3 Episode 17

The "Campfire Song Song" was lit though. Don't try to deny it. Also, poor Squidward. First the magic conch shell says he can't have any food. And now this sea bear wants to attack him just for fun.

10. Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy IV – Season 3 Episode 5

I wumbo, you wumbo, he/she/me wumbo. Wumbo, wumboing. Wumbology the study of wumbo, IT'S FIRST GRADE SPONGEBOB.

11. Christmas Who?– Season 2 Episode 8

Ah yes, of course. The Christmas episode. I watch it every Christmas season.

So thank you Spongebob, for giving me so many memorable and quotable episodes. Seriously. I probably make a Spongebob reference at least 3 times a week.
