2016 has been one interesting year so far in news, politics, and even fashion. Makeup is ever changing, and a great way to experiment with different looks. Here is a list of the Top 10 most interesting makeup looks of 2016 so far.

1. Clumpy Eyelashes

This is a look that Twiggy rocked in the 60s. Yes folks, a makeup look that everybody used to avoid is now becoming a thing. This look is all about the mascara. The more mascara on each individual eyelash the better!

2. Bold Red Lips

This look is a very easy one to achieve. All you need is your favorite tube of red lipstick and you are good to go! Don't even worry about contouring your cheeks or mastering your wing eyeliner, just your bare, fresh face will do.

3. Glitter Bomb

Forget about that concealer for your dark under eye circles and just dab on some glitter! This look can be done using glittery eyeshadow and of course loose glitter! With this look you can be totally over the top and have an immense amount of glitter. Or you can be subtle and tone it down. The choice is yours! Be careful though with glitter near your eyes.

4. Highlight... and more highlight

This makeup trend is popping right now--literally! A highlight lifts up your face and gives it an element of brightness. Just a quick brush of highlight on your nose bridge, cheekbones and the arch of your eyebrows can instantly give you a more youthful glow. It leaves you looking like a nice glazed doughnut.

5. Faux Freckles

This is a kooky makeup trend that is happening in 2016. Basically, it is drawing spots on your face using eyeliner. Ladies and gentlemen who are already born with freckles are blessed and don't have to worry about creating this look at all.

6. Blue Eyeliner

Blue eyeliner is becoming a trend slowly but surely in 2016. This makeup trend is simply putting on blue eyeliner on the top and bottom of your water line. The blue eyeliner is supposed to help your eyes pop a little more. It helps give your eyes a more defined and brighter look to them.

7. Eyebrows on Fleek

I don't really know when I started to look at people's eyebrows to see if they were on complete fleekage, but it's a thing now. Everybody wants to have the perfect eyebrow. Shockingly, some people are going above and beyond, and actually getting their eyebrows tattooed on. Services to get your eyebrows tattooed can cost around $400 to $700, and including touch up cost which can cost up to $300 more. I'm just going to stick with my $8 eyebrow pencil and brush, thank you very much!

8. Baking

To be honest, this was a big trend towards the end of 2015, but remains on this list because of the constant hype that surrounds it. Baking is a term that means taking translucent powder on your face (preferably under your eyes and chin), letting it sit there for a couple of minutes, and dusting it off with your makeup brush. What this is suppose to do is leave you face with no creases from the foundation and concealer that you may have put on your face.

9. White Winged Eyeliner

This trend is a little different because everybody is so used to seeing or using black eyeliner. With this makeup trend, some people choose to smudge the ends of their wings while others just keep them sharp.

10. Gold

With gold eyeshadow and bronzer you can warm up your skin. This is a very subdue and easy makeup look. Gold eyeshadow really helps to frame and give attention to your eyes. Just like a highlight, it gives your face an element of brightness.

Well, there you have it. So, which trend are you going to try?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
