All throughout 2017, there were numerous songs that seemed like this year's anthem. From Rockstar by Post Malone to Body Like A Back Road by Sam Hunt, these songs were constantly on repeat in every American's car.
1. "Something Just Like This" by the Chainsmokers feat. Coldplay
What a banger. And it's even better in concert.
2. "Despacito" by Luis Fonsi feat. Justin Bieber
There are so many different variations of this song due to its popularity, but real Justin Bieber fans know that this is the best version.
3. "Young, Dumb, And Broke" by Khalid
A song about the lives of high schoolers. And inevitably college students. Because I'm young, dumb and broke.
4. "Castle on the Hill" by Ed Sheeran
Whenever I turned on the radio in my car, I could always count on this song being played on multiple stations. Ed Sheeran did it again, and this song just proves it.
5. "Sign of the Times" by Harry Styles
You think this song is gonna start off slow but you're wrong. It picks up in beat and you find yourself dreaming that Harry honey will sing you this to sleep every night.
6. "That's What I Like" by Bruno Mars
Bruno Mars is a baaaad man. He has multiple #1 hits on the charts, and this is just one of them. Whether you don't want to do anything all day, or you just had a bad breakup, Bruno Mars hits you right where you need it in every single one of his songs.
7. "Body Like A Back Road" by Sam Hunt
HOT DAMN this man is sure fine. So is his music. This started off being a hit in country music but then expanded into the pop hits as well. If you want a good driving down the road windows down kind of song, this is it.
8. "HUMBLE" by Kendrick Lamar
Truly one of the best from Kendrick Lamar. This song has it all.
9. "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back" by Shawn Mendes
My "Man Crush Monday" every day. Name a hotter man. I'll wait. This song just reiterates that Shawn Mendes is here to stay and not going away for a long time.
10. And my favorite song of 2017: "Rockstar" by Post Malone
When I first saw Post in concert two years ago as the opener for the Biebs, I never imagined that he would make it to where he is today. In fact, I remember thinking "oh this guy is just another Lil Rapper wannabe." But now Post is constantly on every single one of my Spotify playlists and I can't wait for him to come out with new music.
There you have it. The best of the best of music in 2017. These songs are powerful, and the best party songs that there are currently.
