My fiance and I created a list of all-time favorite characters from our all-time favorite cartoon. "The Simpson's" have created an incredible multitude of stories over the years. Picking only 10 characters was rather difficult, especially since some characters are so brief they barely get a name. I could write on and on about the complexity of such a story, but I will leave you now with my favorites!
1. Ralph Wiggum
This champ is the police chief's son. He is also the most simple and innocent kid in 2nd grade. It's simple why he's a favorite - he always picks a winner!
2. John Frink
He is the scientist of the Simpson's world. He's a favorite because not only is he a scientist, he is a wordsmith!
3. Spider Pig
This fun piggy first appeared in (to the best of my knowledge) The Simpson's Movie. He came back as Homer's sidekick in a few episodes. He's a favorite because he has his own snazzy song!
4. Ruth Powers
She's the divorced neighbor who takes up a friendship with Marge. Hello, girl power! She drives a cool car with Marge riding shotgun!
5. Sideshow Bob
Ah yes, the infamous jailbird who's out to get Bart. As hard as he tries, he has yet to succeed. He's a favorite because Kelsey Grammar's voice is just incredible.
6. Bleeding Gums Murphy
This gentleman appears in a few episodes and quickly becomes Lisa's favorite jazz musician. Similarly, he's my favorite because he's a smooooooth jazz man.
7. Groundskeeper Willie
The poor fellow works so hard to keep the schoolyard looking nice but gets the short end of the stick. Why is he one of my favorites? Because there's a little-known fact: he has his Doctorate!
8. Moleman
Poor old guy just can't catch a break. I swear every time I see this guy, he's driving a car that ends up getting wrecked. Fortunately, in this gif he's not in a car. Unfortunately, he's getting knocked in the jewels by a football. Win some, lose some.
9. Eleanor Abernathy
Crazy Cat Lazy never fails to make a spectacle of herself. However, my favorite thing about her is her little-known real name.
10. Yvan Eht Nioj
Okay, so this is technically not a character, but this episode is (I thought) incredibly true and memorable! What it. Think about it.

11. Homer
He's an everyman. He loves his Marge. And while he may be a big dope 99% of the time, he's still a great dad.
