Top 10 Dogs To Own

Dogs are my favorite kind of animal. If I could, I would have 20 dogs running around on a huge farm that I live on. I believe that big breed dogs are the way to go. They are full of life. They are fluffy and friendly. They may look scarier but they aren't, they are more friendly then most small dogs. Big dogs tend to think they are lap dogs from when they are a puppy until when they are fully grown, almost pony size. Here is a list of my top ten dogs you should own.

1. Labrador Retriever

Labs are great to have around. They are full of life. They are willing to go for runs with you. They are great swimming partners. They'll also sleep right on top of you like you aren't even there!

2. Great Danes

Great Danes are like known as "mini horses/ponies." Most of the time they are just the biggest lap dog you can get! They don't understand personal space and will love you till the day you die. They'll be your best friend and your guard dog.

3. Saint Bernard's

Saints are the kindest of big dogs. They look like a huge guard dog. Most people would be scared of them, but if you walk into someones house and see one, they may bark. They'll continue to bark at you but as soon as you pet them, they'll lay on your feet and ask you to rub their belly. They are also total outdoor dogs! Snow, rain and hot sunny weather, they don't care!

4. Newfoundland

Newfs are the "brothers" of the Saints. They are in the same family. They have the same personality as Saints, they are just much more fluffy!

5. Bernese Mountain Dog

The Bernese Mountain Dog is exactly how they sound and look. Playful and fluffy. They enjoy hiking and playing in the snow.

6. Rottweiler

Rotti's are seen as the bad kind of rough dogs. Most people are scared of them and think they are vicious. But when you raise them right and have a great family surrounding them, they become everyone's best friend.

7. Husky

Husky's are friendly, fun and full of energy. They are also a great hiking partner!

8. German Shepard

German Shepard's are the best police dogs out there. They are there to protect you from anything in life.

9. Mastiff

Mastiff's are also great lap dogs. They grow so fast, you can't even remember them being a puppy.

10. Boxer

Once again another dog known for being vicious, NOT. They are extremely playful and get along with almost any dog.

Dogs will always be apart of my life. I can't wait to eventually own every dog on this list. Dogs aren't just apart of your life, you are their entire life. The bigger the dog the better but the bigger the dog typically the shorter of life.

P.S. If you love big dogs, they even have a clothing line for all the big dog lovers out there! www.bigdogs.com

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

19 Lessons I'll Never Forget from Growing Up In a Small Town

There have been many lessons learned.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
