To The Person Who's Always Been There

Everyone has that person for them. The person who drops everything for you. The person who constantly puts you first. The person that always has your back through thick and thin.

This ones for you.

Thanks for being there for me no matter what. Through the highs, the lows, and all the twists & turns. Thanks for being my rock. For always making me smile. For always bringing out my obnoxious laugh. For always getting me out of my comfort zone.

Thanks for always believing in me

You've always had faith in me. You've always believed in me, even when I didn't believe in myself. You've always pushed me to do things I never thought I could. You've always told me, "You can do it, Taylor. You can do anything you put your mind too. You just have to believe in yourself".

Thanks for always supporting my decisions

No matter what, you've always supported me and every decision I've made. You're always on my side and even when you don't agree with my choices, you support them.

Thanks for bringing out the best in me

You're constantly making me smile. Always making me laugh. You make me want to be the best version of myself. You always bring out the best in me. When I'm with you, you accept me and my goofy self. You let me be the person I want to be. You accept my quirky self, my terrible and inappropriate jokes, and my unfiltered mouth. You have made me the person I am today and you bring out the very best in me.

Thanks for being there to cheer me on, in both my worst and best moments

From track races, to cross county meets, to presentations. You've always been there to cheer me on, even when it's not my best moment. You're always giving me motivational talks, inspirational texts, encouraging words, and reassuring motives.

You're my person and there's nobody else I'd want to be there for me, other than you. You always know exactly what to say. You give the best possible advice and you always look out for me. You're constantly putting me before yourself and I appreciate you more than you know. Thanks for everything you've done for me, and all you continue to do. Everyone deserves someone like you in their life and I'm lucky I get to have such an amazing person to do life with.

I'm beyond thankful for you and I cherish our friendship and the memories we've made.

xoxo

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
