There are people who stumble in and out of your life. People you drift apart from and people whom you know you're better without. Suddenly they become complete strangers and it's not that hard to let go of them because they didn’t affect you very much in the first place. But then you come across someone.
This one person who completely changes your way of thinking, someone who at first you just thought of as a really nice human, but they become more than just a kind stranger. They challenge you into becoming more than just polite, they talk to you as if you’ve known them for years and they surprise you every day.
This someone is the one person who you actually want to stay in your life no matter what. You begin to learn about them, where they're from, what their favorite planet is, how they talk, why they are the way they are and you can’t even imagine forgetting all of that. When you hang out with them it's like for the first time you feel like you’re actually being yourself. It scares you at first, but in a good way, like how you feel when you're hesitant to go on a roller coaster but then you do it anyways and all you want to do is go on it again. You're happy. Truly unbelievably undeniably happy and this person is a big part of helping you get there.
Then something happens. Life gets in the way and things get so unbelievably hard. Things aren't the same as they used to be and its no ones fault its just how it is. You see this person this wonderful person with a heart that no one can even begin to explain just how good it is. You see this person hurt and it breaks your heart because all you want to do is help, but you can't in the way you used to because things are different now. Things begin to happen and you don't completely understand why.
Everyone tells you to be angry or to be done with this person but you can't. It's like no matter what they do you find it so completely impossible to feel any sort of negative emotion towards them. Now it seems like this person is the next one to go out of your life, but for the first time, you care. For the first time you know for a fact that even if you do drift apart, even if more bad things happen, you're always going to want good things for them.
You're always going to wonder about them, want them to be happy, want them to be safe, want them to see all the good in them that you do. You're always going to care, you're always going to want them to stay. Some things are unconditional and wanting this person to find joy is one of those things.
