To the next boy who will love me,

Here are a few things you should know:

My heart is big and open, which can sometimes be a weakness of mine. Please be kind and gentle towards it. It has been through quite a lot and the fact that it is open to you is a very important thing. This is something I take very seriously.

I will love you unconditionally.

I will never expect you to do more than I do for you.

We are equals. Although I do expect for you to show me love and compassion, I will show you the same, if not, more. You will never doubt that you are loved.

I can be a lot to handle. I'll have my days where I am as happy as can be, but I will also have my days where nothing seems to be going right. I may have some breakdowns, and I may take some of those breakdowns out on you. Please know that I will only do this because I trust you more than anyone in this world. Know that it isn't personal. It will never be personal.

When we get into fights, don't let me leave. Don't let me walk out in anger. Don't let me walk away even when I say "leave me alone" or "don't ever talk to me again." Please don't let me go to sleep angry or upset. At that moment, I may be unreasonable, but please know that you not letting me go will mean more to me than anything. I never want to cry myself to sleep, and I never want you to do the same.

The little things will mean more to me than anything.

The good morning and goodnight texts. The spontaneous dates where all we do is drive around and maybe stop at some random park and sit in silence for a moment. I'm old fashioned so write me a letter every once in a while. You have no idea how much that will make my day.

I will never demand that you always pay for dinner or buy me that expensive Christmas gift. I will never expect you to wait on me hand and foot. I will never ever take you for granted. You deserve to be spoiled just as much as me. Expect random little gifts from me just because "I saw this and had to get it for you."

I don't ask for much. I just ask for you to love me.

Love me with every part of you, because I will love you with every part of me.

If we both promise each other that, this will be magical. It will be beautiful and it will be forever.
