To The Girl Who Never Stopped Smiling

I know it's hard sitting there, watching your world break into a hundred different pieces and there's nothing you can do about it. Trust me, I've been there a million times. You would imagine that feeling like this would cause you to look sad and gloomy, but you just continue on with a smile on your face. You refuse to be weak and want to be nothing less than strong. You face many issues alone, but would do anything to see someone else smile. You're the girl that would brighten some else's day, even if you can't brighten your own.

No matter what was crashing down in your life, you simply just put it aside. I know you wanted to give up over a million times. You've spent numerous nights crying yourself asleep and then woke up with a smile on your face the next morning as if nothing even happened. That right there takes MAJOR strength.

Because that's just who you are...the girl that never stopped smiling.

You're the girl who comes off to be so strong, but little does everyone know, you feel so weak at times. You know there are numerous people that would kill to see you fall and the last thing you want to do is give them the satisfaction. So you continue to smile. You smile just to keep the tears from falling and sleep just so you don't have to think about it.

You continue smiling for all the people that have ever doubted you. You smile because fully live by the phrase "you never know whose day you could change just by smiling."

She's hurt, mentally and emotionally. But everyday, she walks with a smile on her face because that's just who she is: the girl who never stopped smiling.

You're allowed to scream, you're allowed to cry, but don't ever give up.

"God is within her, she will not fall. God will help her at the break of day." Psalm 46:5.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
