To Someone Who Wants To Travel The World

Dear Someone Who Wants to Travel the World,

I know you have dreams of traveling all over the world to see all of those places that you dreamed of, don’t worry you will. You will get to see London, Paris and Rome and maybe even vacation in Greece. I know you are ambitious and want to get an early start on your traveling career, but you have to be patient. I know you want to get out of your hometown, wherever that might be, and see the world that is outside of your comfort zone. You dream of traveling because it is an escape for you. An Escape from all of your responsibilities, stress and boredom.

We all dream of seeing the places we thought were impossible when we were younger, but now it’s only one step away. You probably grew up daydreaming about going all over the world, but don’t let anyone stop you. If you want to pack up one day and travel the world than do it. Don’t follow the norms and go to school first, take a year off and just travel. There is no harm in doing things differently.

We are so young that now is the perfect time to go out and explore the world on our own. We should take advantage of being so young and free while we have the time too. So go on that road trip during the summer or save all your money and study abroad at college. We are presented with these opportunities that we will never have again in the future.

People always say that they want to travel the world yet they never do it, or that their biggest regret in life is not getting to see the world. Don’t let that happen to you, let your biggest regret be that you didn’t travel enough. Traveling is all about enjoying yourself and learning more about yourself while going to these amazing places. Once you travel once you realize that traveling is in your blood. You learn that you can never stay in one place for too long.

While traveling you can meet so many new people that have such an impact on your life in the long run. The people that you meet can change your life forever, they can bring you out of your comfort zone and make you try things that you never thought that you would ever do. You meet friends that you will have for life; friends that you will be able to travel with again in the future.

So to the person who loves to travel, my only advice for you is to travel while you have the chance, take the crazy opportunities that present themselves in front you and go for it. You don’t want you biggest regret in life to be that you didn’t travel the world when you had the chance. Trust me, you will look back on all the memories you created while traveling and be happy with your choice of traveling the world while you could.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
