Although our wedding day has passed, the special moments we shared when we exchanged our vows will live forever in my heart. I will never forget the way we both cried and held each other during the ceremony, just as I will never forget the way you picked me up and carried me to the car so that I wouldn't have to walk in my uncomfortable heels.
I will also never forget the way you helped me cut the cake at our reception (saving me from embarrassment when I couldn't quite scoop the cake onto my plate) because it proves that you will always take care of me.
You are by far the greatest blessing God has ever given to me, and these are my lifelong promises to you:
You have my devotion, love, respect, support, friendship, and trust for as long as we both shall live. I will give my all to please you, show you love, and honor your needs above my own.
I promise to adventure all across the world with you—to Iceland, Texas, Mexico, Toronto, the Netherlands, Chicago, Seattle, the Canadian forest, Niagara Falls, Glacier National Park, and anywhere else your heart desires. I would be honored to be your travel buddy for the next 70 years.
I vow to build a family with you and to raise our children in a loving, Godly home. I promise to work my hardest to be the wife and future mother that you would be proud to be married to.
You will always be my best friend and the one person I will run to when times are hard. I will always be your shelter and safe place when you feel unsafe or unloved.
I promise to be faithful to you and to respect you in every situation, ultimately forsaking all others in favor of loving and cherishing you alone. You alone are the one person who pleases my soul.
For as long as we both shall live, I vow to never give up on our relationship. I know in my heart that God has blessed us with something so rare and beautiful that people spend their entire lives searching for it. I could never stand to lose the special bond we share, and I promise to protect that bond at all costs.
Thank you for all that you've done for me since we first met. You've always held a unique place in my heart, and now our relationship has been made official before God and man. I am beyond excited to share this life with you and to discover what it truly means to live as man and wife.
I vow to honor our marriage in all that I do. Thank you for everything, my love. I love you so much.
