Dear little thing,
I hope when you read this you are around 16, starting to drive on your own. Maybe somewhere alone where you go to read your books in the peace and quiet.
I pray that you can be better than I was, in many different ways.
I hope you can learn to love people for who they are on the inside, including yourself. Don't worry about your looks, no matter what you are beautiful.
I hope you work hard in school and achieve everything you want to.
I hope you can forgive easily, but not too easily. You must guard your heart.
I hope you never go through what I did when it comes to meeting the right guy. I hope when you find him, you know he is the one. Don't let them make you cry too much, but a little is part of learning. Don't ever settle, you deserve the absolute best in this world.
I hope you have more good days then bad, and when it's bad I hope it doesn't last long.
I hope you try for that sport even if you feel like you aren't any good.
I hope you don't let words tear you down, but if you do make sure you know you're worth more than heartache.
I hope you are reminded everyday how beautiful you are when you first wake up in the morning.
I hope I'm there everyday to watch you grow, but know when I'm not physically here I will always be in your heart.
I hope when something goes wrong you aren't afraid to come to me. Don't let things weigh on your shoulders. I will be there to take that burden from you.
I hope one day you look back on the life you've lived, and love where you've been and where you are now.
I pray that when things are the worst in your life at that point, boys, grades, friends, maybe family, that you come to me with trust. I will never turn you away.
My shoulders are for your tears. My arms are specifically made to be wrapped around you. My legs are to go where you need me to go. My eyes are to see you with love no matter where life takes you. My heart is for you to take with you wherever you go. I was made to love you, and I hope some day you will say I've done well.
