Dear Creator,

As I sit here watching the sunrise in all its beautiful colors, I am in awe of all you are and all that you've given me in this life. I'm amazed by all you give me: each and every day something new to marvel at. Your love is truly better than this life. Your works astound me, everything is beautiful in its own way and time.

You astound me, Creator. It astounds me that somehow you above would want to share all these things you've created, let alone with someone like me. Creator, I am so unworthy of all that you give me. You've given me love; I look at my family and can't help but wonder how you chose them for me. They're altogether lovely, and I don't understand how a sinner like me could deserve them. You've given me education; something millions before me and millions after me will never receive. A gift of knowledge and a chance to grow.

How does someone like me deserve to teach on your behalf forever? I may never know, but I promise to do your will and further your kingdom through it every day forever. Creator, when I look at my friends I wonder if you knew just how thankful for them I would be. The adventures, the tears, the hugs, the laughs...they're perfect. Each person in my life seems to be perfect. For that, I give thanks to you. For all the things I never deserved. Everything you give me is constantly beautiful, and works so wonderfully for me. You've given me freedom; every day I get to choose to love you without any limitations or stipulations. I get to freely indulge in all the things you have placed in my life.

Creator, thank you for loving me, especially when I couldn't love myself. Creator, thank you for the moon and the stars, for the sun and the things this world gives me. Thank you for all the people and places around me. Thank you for a temporary home here until one day I can be with you. Thank you, Creator, for giving me more than I could ever dream of giving back to you. Thank you for loving me steadfastly and for blessings I don't deserve.

For this life, Creator, I thank you.
