I guess we always knew this would come, but that doesn't mean it was the first thing we always wanted to think about. Now that it has happened, I can say that my thinking that I would miss you all was an understatement. Being so comfortable around your people for years and then going to a new place without the comfort of those people can really suck. You won't recognize people as you walk down the halls or go to the caf to eat. You may even have to sit alone; either way, but whether in person or not, you'll never be alone.
It would be fun to go to a school all together, but as everyone says, college is a time to find yourself and find your lifelong friends. I would not completely disagree with them, but you all will stay near and dear to my heart. I won't forget all the days on the lake or at the mall, going out to eat or just sitting at someone's house hanging out. Those memories made high school as great as it would. I wish that everyone could have friends like you all because I feel so extremely lucky to have you all. You all have a special place in my heart & in my memory.
We may go to colleges thirty minutes away, or it may be seven hours or more. No matter what the distance, I will always be here for you guys. I don't want you to ever feel alone or uncomfortable wherever you are going, I'm a phone call or text away, and so are out other friends. I cannot wait to see you all again to share our different college stories and experiences, and find comfort in the old way that we would talk about how much school wasn't our favorite thing.
I think we can all agree, friends help make the world go around. We will all grow and mature during this time and become better versions of ourselves, and I cannot wait to see how college has been. I can't wait for the summers together again, all the school breaks that we go home for to see everyone, and just being in each other's lives forever. Thank you for all the past memories and the ones to come.
