When we first met, I never knew that you would become one of my closest best friends. Actually, you are my number 1 best friend. I remember all the fun memories that we have made ever since that day. For example, the Scotty McCreery concert, the Spring Break beach trip, and all the endless car ride that we have had.

During middle school, we had cheerleading that kept us very close and honestly some of the memories that we shared in middle school were good and bad. When I moved to high school, I was scared that we would not be as close as we were. I thought that I would lose my best friend and I was not ready to face that.

During that time away from each other, we never really talked. Then a year later we were back at the same school. I know that we didn't talk a lot or hang out that often, I know that when either one of us needed the other that we would always be there no matter what. I just wanna thank you for that because knowing that I will always have a best friend by my side makes life a little easier.

During my senior year of high school, we got closer again. We made memories during that time and we had the balance of good and bad. We were there for each other when we made and achieved our goals. We also had the bad memories when we both went through breakups a couple months between each other.

I remember when I called you to tell you that my boyfriend broke up with me and you thought that it was prank since you and your boyfriend played it on me a couple months before. Then when you went through your break up, we decided to go to the movies and get CFA to get your mind off it. I greatly appreciate that you were there to help me go through my break up.

I know that we don't hang out together that much anymore and I really wish we would again. But, I want to thank you for all that you have done for me. You have seen me at my lowest and also at my highest. You have been the one that I call to help get my mind off of all the bad stuff.

You are also the one that I call when something good happens. Thank you for being there when I need someone to talk to about boys and I know that when I call you and I need to come to sit on your bed and watch Netflix that you will always say that I can come over.

You have been my best friend for the past 8 years and I have heard when you make it past the first 4 years that you will always be friends for the rest of your lives. Also, I want to tell you Happy Friendaversary! Here's to 8 more years!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
