Over the course of your life you will find yourself in a state of mind that is not what one would describe as 100% effective. Whether it's due to stress, lack of sleep, or intoxication, it is important to avoid certain objects and areas that can lead to less than desirable situations.
1. Sharp Objects
Never run with scissors and don't even think about dicing tomatoes when you're exhausted from a long day of work following a restless night. Home made salsa is not worth losing any appendages.
2. Fire
Fire can be very captivating but it also burns. Burns hurt. A lot.
3. Cars
Never operate a vehicle while tired. If you zone out for a second then you'll find yourself at the wrong end of a very scary situation. God forbid anyone else gets involved.
4. Cell Phone/Cameras
Don't call your ex, don't take pictures of yourself or anyone you're with. A funny picture or video is not worth it 9 times out of ten. That being said, that 1 time out of 10, it is definitely worth it. But please, play the statistics.
5. Drake Music
Surely you've heard of Drake-ing and driving/drinking? The last thing you want to do is listen to a Drake song, zone out, and wind up on the doorstep of that girl you had a crush on in the 4th grade.
6. Ex
Unless you particularly enjoy saying or doing something you are going to regret, stay away from any former significant others or flings.
7. Rooftops
I can't even begin to list off the reasons why hanging out on a rooftop is a bad idea.
8. The 5 0
I think that pretty much goes without saying.
9. Aggressive Drunkards
Nothing shortens/ruins an evening faster than that one kid who you happen to rub the wrong way and takes it way too personally. Know who to avoid when they get a few drinks in their system and become much more likely to fly off of the handle.
10. Other people's bedrooms
"I just wanted a nap..." Usually does not validate the fact that you just snuck into their private domain. Just don't.
11. Your parents
Unless mom wants to do shots with you, you probably do not have the type of parents who would appreciate seeing you drunk.
