One of the most underrated features of the iconic dating app Tinder is the “Anthem” feature. This is a song that you can select to represent your profile. If you manage to get someone to look at your profile past just your photos, your anthem can be a really cool tool to let potential matches get an idea of who you are or what you’re looking for.
However, in my personal experience, I have seen this feature vastly fall to the same seven overdone songs that are probably in the Top 100 and probably have no relevance to you or what you’re looking for (negative points if it’s a song by Post Malone, barf).
Selecting a more unique anthem can really set the tone for your profile and set you apart from the rest.
If you’re a guy looking for a hookup…
"Slob on My Knob," Tear Da Club Up Thugs
This sends a clear message what you’re looking for in a somewhat comical way. It’s one of those songs that a lot of people know and probably have listened to, but few will readily admit to. This will show what you’re about and that you also have an above average sense of humor.
If you’re just trying to be yourself…
Your Favorite Song!
There’s no better way to give an interested someone a look into who you are than your favorite song! This is mostly the route that I took with my own personal anthem.
If you’re a country music fan…
"Light It Up," Luke Bryan
Luke Bryan is a very popular country artist right now and it’s likely that those looking for mutual country music appreciators will get some matches with this one. This song in particular also seems to invite messages. As the song says, “light it up!"
If you’re looking for a relationship…
"Perfect," Ed Sheeran
At some point, everyone wants something as beautiful as the relationship Ed describes in this song. If you’re on Tinder looking for that kind of a relationship, this is the song that will best represent you.
