How often do you sit down and look at your to-do list and wonder how am I going to get all of this stuff done on time and when will I get to have some time for myself? I know I did it all the time. But the truth is you can do everything on your to-do list and still get some time for you. Here's how.

Find a planner that you like that fits your needs. The one that I have is by the brand Mint Green but other brands exist because not everyone likes the same style planners and not everyone has the same needs for a planner. But needless to say, this planner has a weekly view and a monthly view. It also has stickers in the front of it. Each week has a quote to keep you going and the monthly dividers have quotes on both sides. It also has a place for goals and notes for each month.

Come up with a color coding system for each different thing you have going on in your life. For example, I'm working two jobs so both jobs have a different color assigned to them one is blue and one is pink. I am also taking a summer course so that has a specific color assigned to it. If you are taking more than one class at a time make sure that each class has a different color. This will help when you are looking at your planner and trying to decide what you need to do when. If you are in a club or have another commitment that you have to keep up with make sure that it gets a color too.

Next, make sure that each week you put in your class and work schedule for the week and what assignments are due when. Once you have the times and days that you have somewhere to be written in your planner and when something is due you can decide when you are going to have time to do your homework, laundry, and go grocery shopping.

I recommend that you have all your schedules put into your planner by Sunday each week this way on Sunday you can also plan out your entire week. The most important thing when you have a lot on your plate is sticking to what you have planned for the week. If something doesn't take as long as you planned it to take then you can get something done off of the next days list.

When you are planning out your week you can also plan out time for you even if it is only a half hour or so that is still your time.

Something that most people don't think about when they are busy is staying on a routine. If you go to bed at the same time every day and get up at the same time every day you will have the same amount of time in each day to do things and you will eventually learn to know how much you can accomplish in a day.

If you do these few things every week and every day you will find that you truly can be really busy and still have time for yourself it is all about knowing how to manage your time.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
