OK, ladies, if you're the kind of girl that gets her eyebrows done, I'm sure you're familiar with the whole "threading vs. waxing" debate. Typically you're either on one side or the other, and one thing I've noticed is that so many girls are afraid of threading because "it hurts"... well OK, honey, it's not supposed to feel good - they're literally ripping hairs out of your face. But, besides that fact, here are six reasons why threading is just so much better than waxing:

1. They Look So Much More Natural

My biggest reason I absolutely love getting my eyebrows threaded is because they look so much more natural. That's just it. Not to say that waxing "doesn't look natural," I just prefer to keep all of my skin layers on my face when getting my eyebrows done and avoid caking a couple extra layers of foundation around my eyebrows to keep everything even. Sorry, but not really.

2. The Redness Doesn't Last 15 Hours

Of course, I'm exaggerating a little bit when I say that the redness after waxing your eyebrows lasts 15 hours, but it sure doesn't last just one. I personally have incredibly pale and sensitive skin, so the majority of the time if you even touch my face, i'll get red. I'm sure some of you out there know my struggle. But, one of my favorite things about threading is that the redness only lasts an hour or so, two at most. You can go get yo eyebrows done, go home, get ready, and be ready for the club in less time than it sometimes takes us ladies to pick out an outfit.

3. It's so, so quick

Every single time I go to get my eyebrows threaded, I have been in an out of there in less than 5 minutes. If you're the kind of person who gets super picky about your eyebrows, then maybe you'll spend 10 minutes in that salon, but come on, it takes you longer to take a dump.

4. Threading Lasts Way Longer

Comparing the usual 2 weeks it takes after waxing before you have to go back and get them waxed again, threading lasts anywhere from 3-5 weeks, and if that doesn't sell ya then I'm not sure what will.

5. You Don't Have To Worry About Chemicals

For you girls with sensitive skin like me, some of us struggle with having adverse reactions to wax on occasion - what a bummer! Threading is great because the only necessity is cotton thread and that's it!

6. It Really Doesn't Hurt That Bad

Last but not least - the famous "well I've heard that it hurts so bad, so I'm not going to try it," excuse. Of course, it doesn't feel great, they're ripping hairs out of your face. Yet, I don't understand this because you're literally doing the same thing when it comes to waxing.

I stand by the saying "don't knock it 'til you try it," and I feel that this is definitely a debate that falls into that category! It's OK to be a little nervous when trying something new, but don't be afraid of it — once you try it, you may never want to wax again!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
