On January 13th of this year, many of us lost a daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin, and friend. Her relationship with everyone was unlike any other: unselfish and true.
People say that whenever someone passes on, there are parts of them still left on this world. Whether it's their actual soul or just a memory, they are still here with us. It might be a song, a butterfly passing by or a deer running across the road. These symbolic meanings are still a piece of the deceased individual with us, causing them to seem to still be here at least in memory. These signs from them give us hope that one day we will see them again.
Since Morgan's departure from this world, a few of us have experienced these signs from her in Heaven. I have experienced one of our favorite songs constantly playing on the radio more and more lately.
At first, I thought it might be a plain coincidence at the chance of this occurring, but the more it came on, the more I realized the symbolic meaning behind it's reappearance and what it means to me personally.
Every time it makes its reappearance on the radio, I can't contain my emotion and cry. I think, it must be some kind of sign or message from her. That she is watching over us and that the song is an intense metaphor for what all of us feel: the sorrow, the longing to be reunited, the grief, and so much more.
Another sign from Heaven is dreams. Many of us have experienced these hyper-realistic dreams that leave us waking up feeling that she is actually still alive, well and with us. It is a cruel reality to dream and feel she is there, and wake up to realizing that she is actually gone. However, I like to think of this as another way of her telling us that she is watching over us at all times. These reoccurring dreams and messages give us hope.
Yet another sign that my sister, mother and I have experienced is the recurrence of deer while we are driving. When my mother would get off late from work, she recalled that she saw many deer crossing the road so calmly and looking straight at her. She had never seen a deer in this area before. As soon as she told me this, I wanted to see it for myself. Of course, when you are looking for something, you most likely will not find it. However, one night, I finally saw the deer dart in front of the car. I truly believe that this was another sign from her.
Whether these signs are just coincidences or not, they give myself and others so much hope and something to grasp onto until we see her again one day. Pay attention to your surroundings, and you just might find more signs from heaven from a deceased loved one.
This is dedicated to Taylor Morgan Spires (March 4th, 1997- January 13th, 2016). You are so loved and forever missed, babygirl.
