How can we destroy racism?

I am a loss for words. I have no idea what to talk about. I could talk about the election but I refuse to talk about it. I refuse to acknowledge this week. So catch me next week on the topic. But a topic that I do want to dabble in is racism. Racism is a very powerful subject.

Recently I watched a video, a group of people who are in their own terms racist towards other took a DNA test only to find out in the end not only are they made up of different backgrounds but as well as made up of the very background they do not like. There is no such thing as a pure white person or pure black person. No one is pure anything in this world. If we were pure, I would understand where racism comes from, but we aren’t. If you're truly pure then prove me wrong and go take a DNA test. If that is the case then I will apologize, but I won’t need to. There is no pure person.

Racism is something that was created along ago based on skin color. But no one skin color makes them less or more. We are a world of diversity instead of tearing each other down we should be building each other up. I know it won’t happen in a day but it should begin to happen. But it doesn’t start simple. It starts with being nice to your own peers and respecting other people’s opinions even if to you they are wrong. It starts with respect. Once you learn to respect each other we can be a stronger America. Becoming a better America does not start with the president it starts with the people. It starts with you. Be nice to one another, give back. It doesn’t have to be big it could be as simple as saying hi and getting to know someone. All you have to do is trying.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
