Thoughts On An Alternate Universe

What if we physically survived off of love instead of food, water, and sleep?

Think about a world where our brains and bodies functioned off the love we receive from other people rather than food or water or sleep. Instead of saying "I'm really tired, I think I need a little extra sleep today" It would be, "I'm really tired, I think I need a little extra loving today." Instead of saying, "I'm starving, I need to eat," it would be, "I'm starving, I need to receive some love."

Think about how much better this world would be. If someone wasn't receiving enough love, they would die and although that would be sad, it would teach the rest that are living to show more love.Eventually, there would be no terrorism, racism, or sexism in this world at all. Terrorists would simply die off, kind of like an extinct species, because they didn't have enough love in them to keep living.

There would be love and love only. Maybe this happens in another universe. Maybe it happens in another lifetime. Maybe in some form, it happens in the unknown afterlife. Maybe, just maybe, that's how ghosts exist.

You always hear that when people die, their soul will live on. How does this happen though? if the people on earth can't live forever, who's to say whatever is in this "afterlife" will live forever? Well, what if it's because each ghost survives off of love? They give and receive so much of it that their spirit lives on until even after the end of time.

After dying, the people still living no longer take them for granted and love them with everything they have. It is not possible for this to happen to humans, but it's something nice to think about. It's always nice to have a little hope for what will happen when our souls leave our bodies and enter the life unknown to us on earth.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
