Cats are mysterious creatures. Sometimes they like to keep to themselves and, other times, all they want to do is cuddle. They were worshiped as gods in ancient Egypt and it's clear that they haven't quite let us humans forget that, especially now that we've reverted back to cat worshiping ways. Think Lil Bub, Grumpy Cat, or even Nyan Cat. Of course, the list could go on and on. Today's society runs on funny cat videos, and we obviously wouldn't be able to make it through an entire stressful week without some kind of cat encounter.
We love these tiny, fluffy creatures of hatred, and we need them around. What's not so clear, however, is whether or not they need us. Let's take a look at some of the thoughts that every cat has during their time with their humans.
Sometimes, cats are adorable: "Hello, new brother."
Sometimes, they're completely terrifying: "Don't even think about trying to pet me."
When it comes to food, they're 100 percent serious: "I'm going to join you for breakfast."
Even if it's not actually theirs: "Water from a human's glass is honestly just better than from a cat bowl."
Cats are selfish creatures: "How about we switch places for the night? I'll take the bed and you can have the floor."
They really don't care how you feel: "Did I ever lead you to believe that your comfort was actually my concern?"
Or what you need to do: "Did you need these papers to do your homework?"
Or what you were doing: "This is for a game? But...why? It's so comfortable for sleep."
Cats really just like to sleep: "Trust me—this position totally makes sense."
It's lucky they're so cute: "Nothing is more comfortable than cuddling and sleep."
Sometimes, they just get in the way: "No outfit is complete without a touch of my fur."
Whether it's because they're trying to help: "Do you need help with your laundry? No? Well, we're going to help, anyway."
Or because they're curious: "What do you mean this dress wasn't made for cats?"
Or because they can't figure out what they did: "I got myself up here, but now I don't know how to get down."
No matter what, they definitely want to be wherever you are: "Please don't turn the water on. I just want to keep you company."
Cats aren't just confusing to humans: "I don't quite understand why you're laughing. Is there something wrong with my new home?"
Cats are also confused by themselves: "Who am I? Why am I here? Why are any of us here?"
They don't really understand why they like human things so much: "I'm going to watch with you, OK?"
Or even the proper use for them: "I do believe that your definition of 'actual bed' is flawed."
They're so curious, they get into things they shouldn't: "Why do you eat from these when they make perfectly comfortable beds?"
And they never let you have personal space: "Can I shower, too?"
Cats may be weird and unpredictable: "I'm not sure whether to attack or accept your love."
But they love you just as much as you love them: "I love this human right here."
