To Those Having A Hard Time

With everything that is going on in the world right now, it is so important for us to remember that all we need is God.

Lately, I have just felt that people need to hear some words of encouragement. In the sin fallen world that we live in, from time to time it is important to be reminded of God's love and plans for us.

No matter where you are in your life, the one thing that you can stand firm in God's promises and plan for our lives. The thing that we need the most right now is to trust in HIm. God has never let us down in the past. His Word is the absolute truth so we know that God will not see His word return to Him void.

Hebrews 11:1 says, "Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see."

We need to trust in God and the promises that he has for us. He has promised to complete the works that He has started in our lives. He promises that He will work all things out for the good of those who love Him. He promises us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made and that He has a plan for us that will prosper us and give us a hope and a future. Trust God with the outcomes of your trials and tribulations. Hand Him you worries, fears, and heartbreak; turn it all over to Him and bask in that freedom! Let Him carry that burden for you.

So whatever has got you worried or stressed, whether it is the election, problems in your everyday life, your job, school, your family. Whatever it may be, give it over to God and know that He will work it out for your good. He will never forsake you or abandon you; He knows what you need better than you do. Surrender it all over to Him and trust in Him! Fully and completely trust in Him because He is greater than any trouble you will ever face.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
