14 Reasons Why Beagles Are Life

Dogs are man's best friend, and it's the truth. I've had a best friend since I was seven years old, and her name is Lucky. Dogs are forever our puppy's even when they get old. Lucky is 15 now. She's an old pup, but she's still the best thing that's ever happened to me. She's always there for me when I'm crying, as she'll lick my tears away, and she even knows when I'm feeling sick. She would always run around my backyard with me, but lately, all she does is sleep. She's still the same dog that I got when I was 7; a hyper, small little pup that soon turned into a big sausage puppy. This is the life of a Beagle, as told by Lucky.

1. You're always sleeping

2. You're always catching the sun on a nice day

3. You're always begging for food

4. You think you're so good at begging that your owners just have to give in eventually

5. You always give the stink eye when you're annoyed at your owners for holding their other pets and not touching you because everyone knows that the puppy gets all the attention at all times

6. You always keep an eye on the house

7. You're extremely photogenic

8. You love belly rubs

9. You get very jealous when there are other pets around you

10. You make this face when your owners don't let you back in the house fast enough

11. You're the master at staring contests

12. You literally turn into a sausage

13. You love getting snacks

14. But most of all, you love your owners and they love you too

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
