Sweaters, boots, flannels, and warm colors can only mean one thing. Fall is upon us. Fall is quite possibly my favorite season of the year. I love going to class bundled up in a sweater and boots with a scarf. I also love fall beauty and fall makeup. The warm colors, the cranberries, nude lips... I love it all. This year, I was not fooling around. I bought everything I would need for fall looks early so I could use them as much as I could.
1. Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics
This palette is gorgeous. I have been in love with this palette since its launch was announced. The palette features twelve all-new shades, eleven matte and one semi-shimmer. You can create so many looks from this set. It's one of my favorite palettes of all time.
2. Morphe The Little Palette
Morphe recently paired up with Elena Gant to make five mini eyeshadow palettes that are only $10 each. First, the price is amazing. Makeup is so expensive these days, so it's great that Morphe is able to sell their products at a low price. That doesn't mean that these products are low quality. Each of these palettes is absolutely perfect for fall. My personal favorites are Coffee Toffee and Copper Popper, but all of them are great. Each palette contains eight shades, four matte and four shimmers. These palettes are limited addition, so get them while you can!
3. Jouer Lip Creme Liquid Lipstick
I have to admit, I caved and got on the liquid lipstick bandwagon. I bought one that has been featured by one of my favorite makeup artists on Youtube, NikkieTutorials. These lipsticks are amazing. They're very pigmented, and give such a beautiful and rich color. There are twenty-five shades, both in matte and metallic shades. I love the shade Buff, it is perfect for that simple nude lip to go with a dramatic smokey eye.
4. Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in Sun Dipped
I know what you're thinking. "Emily, why are you using something called Sun Dipped for a fall makeup look?" Hear me out. This highlighter kit is so versatile and so great for every kind of makeup look. I like to use the shades Summer and Moonstone on my cheeks, and then I use the shade Tourmaline for my nose, cupid's bow, and chin. If you're scared to use highlighter, this is a great one to start out with. Fall makeup isn't really all about that blinding cheek bone, so you can do a minimal highlight and still look amazing.
5. Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit
I'm not going to lie. I'm not that great at contouring my face. I've had to watch a lot of tutorials online to become confident in my contouring ability. When I got serious about contouring, I immediately bought this kit. I use the light to medium kit, and it is perfect for creating the perfect contour. All of the shades are powders, which makes it really easy to work with. The range of shades gives your look a more defined and "natural" look, rather than just looking like you painted your face.
