So Valentine's Day is approaching rapidly.

I love February because it's my birthday month, but I am a little concerned with this being my first Valentine's Day single in over two years. All of my roommates have significant others and I am already having FOMO with the idea of them all having extravagant Valentine's Day plans.

It's hard knowing that I will be sitting at home alone watching a romantic comedy and eating an entire box of chocolate. But, I've decided that this Valentine's Day I am going to spend the day loving myself. Here's my list of things to do if you're single this Valentine's Day.

1. Movie marathon

Break out the romantic comedies with your favorite attractive actor. Enjoy some time to yourself as you stay in bed, grab some snacks and watch some movies.

2. Plan a Galentine's Day

Nothing's better than getting your friends together and planning a day of fun with each other.

3. Spa Day

Get your nails done, get a haircut or if you're like me and balling on a budget grab your own nail polish, pick up a face mask and treat yourself.

4. Go shopping for yourself

Since you don't have to buy anyone else a present, why not spend that money on yourself?

5. Explore Tinder

If you're feeling extra lonely or bored there's no better place to find other lonely and bored singles.

6. Gather your single friends and go do couple-like things

7. Relax and unplug

Hopefully that might help anyone who's feeling down in the dumps about being single on Valentine's day, but embrace it! You can still have fun loving yourself this Valentine's day surrounded by people you care about.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
