11 Things to keep you occupied over the summer

Since summer is such a limited amount of time for college students and everyone pretty much has their own plans over the summer, it can be hard to find stuff to do. So here are a few ideas on small hobbies or tasks to keep you busy.

1. Go for a walk/run

Go to the park or just run around the block to get some exercise.

2. Babysit/Petsit

Offer to watch kids or pets for your neighbors when they're busy working or on vacation.

3. Cook

Google fun stuff to try cooking or try an old recipe you haven't made in a while.

4. Create art

Paint, color, draw or any crafts you can find at a Michaels or Joann Fabric store.

5. Go outside

Go out in the yard or just go to the park to get a tan.

6. Play a game

Yes, card games and board games still exist and you can buy them and play them.

7. Get a job

Find a seasonal job and make some money for you to spend!

8. Go to a festival or a farmer's market

Find local festivals or carnivals to go to with friends!

9. Waterpark

Make a day and grab your swimsuit!

10. Learn how to plan an instrument

Yes, the recorder counts!

11. Camping/hiking

Maybe better going in a group to a mountainside!

With these ideas, you can keep yourself busy for the summer and maybe find something you like that you never though you would!
