Things and stuff to pass the days

Things To Do To Prepare For The Gilmore Girls Revival

So the revival is now eleven days away and you might be wondering what you could do to pass the time. Glad you asked because this has certainly been on my mind lately.

1. You can watch the series again

I know this is probably the best thing to do to get yourself ready. You can rewatch to see all of the little things that you missed the first or third time around. If you're like my best friend it will be the tenth or eleventh time watching it.

2.Eat like a Gilmore.

The Gilmores can eat. Seriously, if you know how much they have at movie night then you know how much they eat. Eat all the junk food you want, but none of the healthy stuff.

3. Drink coffee like a Gilmore.

Okay, so the Gilmores have a thing for coffee. Some college students know and understand the love for the copious amounts of coffee that they drink. I personally know this love. Just remember that drinking it will make you talk fast. Also go up to a random person or your local coffee person and say "I need coffee through an IV" and point to your arm.

4. Do the book challenge that Buzzfeed has for all the books mentioned in the series.

So Rory read a lot of books in the series. 339 to be exact were mentioned. Buzzfeed has made a list of every book that was mentioned and you should give it a go if you have all the time in the world and no social life. The link will be listed below if you guys want to take a crack at it.

5. Buy "Gilmore Girls" memorabilia.

Ah yes, stuff. Etsy has awesome shops that you can buy Gilmore Girl themed stuff. Coffee cups, t-shits, candles, and jewelry. My favorite is the candles, they have one that smells like Luke's and one that smells like Jess. Heaven if you ask me.

6.Read some fanfiction

There are plenty of websites to read Gilmore fanfiction on. There are many dedicated to Jess and Rory which is my favorite to read. I still think that she should end up with him instead of Logan, but I'm coming around to the idea of Logan and her being together in the end.

7. Listen to the station on Pandora.

So the Gilmores are avid music listeners. Pandora created a station dedicated to all of the music that they have mentioned in the series, except for Hep Alien. Take a listen and be transported back to the 90s and early 2000s.

So this is a pretty basic list of what you can do to pass the time until the revival comes out. I have done majority of this list already and can't wait until I can do more with my best friend. Stay tuned for more Gilmore related articles.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
