In this day and age, there is so much pressure on girls to have perfect everything. Truth is, we simply don't have the time or effort for all of these things. Additionally, some of us just don't have a desire to have these things either, and that's completely okay. Here are the 5 things that put pressure on us ladies to have all the time.
A full face of makeup
Yes, most of us like to be glam and fashionable. But at 5 a.m on a Monday morning, we really aren't going to waste time to put a full face of makeup on, let alone any. So men, when you see us at the gym or school or work without makeup, don't freak out. There is something called natural beauty... You should get used to it. We can be just as pretty without makeup.
Fresh Manicure/Pedicure
Lets be honest, manicures and pedicures can be expensive as hell. We love to have flashy nails, but it is a hardship on the wallet. Therefore, we can go out with natural nails. Who wanted to pay $40 for acrylics that you couldn't do anything with anyways?
Bikini Wax
Some days we want a full bush, others we want it smooth down there. What is not okay is a man demanding that it's one way or another. We can wear it how we want. If he wants to complain, he can go through the pain of the Brazilian. Not to mention, the cost of it as well.
Wear dresses/skirts
Ladies, we can wear what we want. We don't always have to be dressed like a Barbie doll. We can be pretty in sweatpants too.
Hair Removal
Waxing, creams, shaving. AGH! Too much pressure. We shouldn't feel obligated to shave our legs, hair remove our peach fuzz, or wherever the hell there is hair. Don't let anyone change that either.
There is far too much pressure on us girls these days to do all of these things. At the end of the day, it matters that you are healthy or happy. Not if you had a full face of makeup on that day. Sure, it sometimes feels good to get all glammed up, but some days there is just not enough time and its too low on the spectrum of important things. So ladies, next time you feel obligated to any of these things, get over it. Focus on the important.
