We'd all like to pretend that we're disciplined enough to sit in a class for an hour without giving in to the temptation of scrolling through our Twitter feed, and most of the time, we are. However, there's only so much monotoned voice lecturing we can take, and when that happens, the colorful tabs on our web screen really start to catch our eye.
At one point or another, we always stop paying attention.
1. Homework
College is a very busy time, and we have to get creative when it comes to getting our work done. So of course, when the professor starts droning on about things you may already understand or have already learned, you might start that seven-page essay you've been inspired by.
2. Scrolling social media
Facebook has dumb shit that'll help you sink lower into that mindless zone your professor has you sliding into. Twitter is good for a laugh, and Instagram helps you remember that while others are in Aruba, you're still broke.
3. Texting
@ Mac users, we know what you're doing.
4. Research
At this point, you're lost. You're searching WebMD for symptoms you've never had and filling out job applications.
5. Studying
Again, college students have made an art form out of doing things when they're not supposed to, and at the last minute, too. They'll study for their Lit course during their Econ lecture and two days later do the same thing in reverse.
6. Shopping
Personally speaking, Forever21 is my go to. I know it's pretty bad, but I've also seen kids watch full episodes of TV shows, which are worse in my humble opinion.
