Whether you’re a Wilmington native, attend school at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, or find yourself making a trip to Wrightsville Beach for the day, it is only necessary that you enjoy the undeniable goodness that P.T.’S Olde Fashioned Grille has to offer. It has become a staple for the Wilmington community and their delicious and fresh burgers aren’t the only thing that keeps the customers coming back for more. Here are 11 things that die hard P.T.'s fans love about coming to this extraordinary restaurant.
1. First, we will start with their goldmine: the burgers.
The taste and feeling you get when you bite into a P.T.’s burger can only be compared to the most amazing food you have ever tasted combined with the happiest day of your life. Their toppings are fresh and so are their burgers. You can never go wrong.
2. Their signature stamp of approval.
Nothing makes you smile more than when you see the famous grill marks with the initials “PT’S” grilled right onto the bun. Nothing but pure joy ladies and gentlemen.
3. But have you tried their fries with that lemon pepper salt.
The fries are a staple and they make a perfect side to every burger. Their lemon pepper salt adds the perfect amount of seasoning and you find yourself disappointed once they are all gone.
4. Don’t get me started on the lemonade.
It is, hands down, one of the best I have ever tasted. It is a game changer for sure. You can even watch them squeeze fresh lemons right in front of you as they make your drink to order. It’s so damn good that you wind up finishing the whole drink in a matter of seconds. It crushes your soul when you look up and it’s $2 for a refill, but you get that refill anyway.
5. You want it even when you’re hungover, now that’s saying a lot.
There reaches a point in every hangover when you finally muster up the courage to eat something. You go through all the different restaurants that you could possibly eat at and you imagine yourself eating all the different food each restaurant has to offer. I can always picture myself eating P.T.’s and it never seems to disappoint. Thank you for saving me on more than several occasions.
6. It taste good three days in a row… don’t judge. It will taste just as amazing on the third day as it did on the first day.
There is no shame in eating P.T.’s multiple days in a row; it’s just that good.
7. When you take your order to go you end up eating half the bag by the time you get home.
The smell is too enticing to ignore and you can’t help but dip your fingers in the bag and sneak a fry or two, or three, or fifteen. Who’s counting?
8. When you see the long line inside you cringe but you still decide to wait.
When you have made the decision to head to P.T.’s for lunch there is nothing that will stop you. Long line or short line, you will be eating P.T.’s for lunch.
9. They serve beer on tap. What could be more enjoyable than enjoying the most delicious burger and fries you’ve ever had?
How about a nice gold Budweiser to go with it? It doesn’t get much better than that.
10. You can’t help but find their napkin holders absolutely adorable.
Each napkin holder is filled with a kid’s colored drawing of the P.T.’s logo. How precious?
11. The staff makes the experience and it doesn’t hurt that they’re easy on the eyes.
The friendly atmosphere that the staff creates is inviting and makes the experience that much more enjoyable.
