I have lived in Vermont all of my life (18 years) and I just recently moved to Massachusetts for college and this is what I have learned so far.
1) When you live in a city you can't walk on the side of the road/ cross walk during rush hours because you feel like a car will run you over.
2) Uber is the best thing since sliced bread. If you don't have it, I suggest you get it. You'll thank me later.
3) You thought that Walmart was a kind of a safe place and now you go there because you want to take a risk to see if you'll come back alive.
4) You don't know anyone, so don't try to do just that.
5) Traffic is one of the most terrible things this world has ever created.
6) You open yourself to new things because it's not the same as home.
7) Fall comes way later than Vermont, but looks just as good!
8) Friends will definitely keep you from getting homesick.
9) The squirrels are human. And they are everywhere.
Although this isn't a lot, I still have four years left and I bet there will be a lot more where that came from.
