College has already taught me so much. It's important to find a balance between having fun and doing your best in classes.

1. Give yourself plenty of time to get to class!

Some buildings are hard to find, even google maps can't help me sometimes. Make sure to have extra time to get to classes the first week so you don't show up late.

2. Be prepared

You may want to bring a copy of the syllabus and definitely something to take notes with. Some classes even jump straight into the material so be prepared for anything.

3. Do your assignments

Homework grades are easy grades. Make sure to do all of your work.

4. Stay organized

Keep all of your class work organized and neat. Keep track of due dates too!

5. Put school first

College is expensive. If you're putting the money in to get an education, make sure you're also putting in an effort to do your best.

6. It's okay to spend time by yourself

I think we all need a break occasionally, and that's okay! Enjoy a night of eating your favorite food and watching Netflix by yourself.

7. Become friends with your suitemates!

You're going to be spending a lot of time with these people, so make sure to have good relationships with them all. You might end up with a lot of new friends!

8. Stay hydrated and make sure to eat

We all get so busy we forget the little things. If you're doing a lot of walking on campus, it's essential to make sure you're drinking plenty of water and eating enough!

9. Attend social events

College is a great place to get to know so many different people! Put yourself out there and meet new people. Whether it's the little events put on by the school or your suitemates invite you to go out, be sure to go and get to know people.

10. Have fun!

There are so many new opportunities and chances to have a great time. Go out and really enjoy the next few years!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
