Harry Potter is easily one of the best franchises that has ever existed. Nearly everyone has seen the movies or at least heard enough about them to know the basics. True fans have read all the books, over and over, can quote all the movies and know the difference between second year and third year Harry. The story has touched the hearts of millions and it is much more than a simple children's book.

Although people of all ages can enjoy it, many of us grew up with Harry, Ron and Hermione. The books teach many important lessons about loyalty, friendship, bravery, equality and stereotyping or discrimination. Most importantly the Harry Potter fandom has become like a family, and here are 46 things only true Harry Potter fans say or understand.
