The 5 Things You Need For The Gilmore Girls Revival

With Thanksgiving being only a few days away, one of the most awaited events of the season is about to happen. I'm not talking Thanksgiving feasts or even the beginning of the Christmas season, no I'm talking about the "Gilmore Girls" revival! Four new episodes spanning a year in the life of Rory and Lorelai, and our favorite town: Stars Hollow. With what I'm sure will be four episodes full of drama, answered questions, and lots of fast food, an avid "Gilmore Girls" fan has to do major prep for the reveal.

1. Coffee -- and lots of it

If Luke's were real, we'd be stocking up on cup after cup of the famous joe. But since we, I mean I, missed the pop-up Luke's Coffee Shops (not bitter or anything), some k-cups will have to suffice to get us through the 360 minutes of Gilmore magic.

2. A Re-watch

I'm not suggesting that you go back and re-watch the entire seven seasons of "Gilmore Girls," but that's just because there isn't any time for that. A strategic re-watching, season premiers and season finales, will be enough to bring back the fond memories of Stars Hollow and its medley of characters. Jot down any question raised during your re-watch and keep your fingers crossed that they get answered in the revival!

3. The Food

This year, the 25th of November means one thing: Leftovers. Grab that pumpkin pie and set it on down next to a bowl, or four, of leftovers from your feast the day before. Four 90-minute episodes means that you will get hungry -- and there is no time to pause the revival to get a snack. Be like Rory and be prepared.

4. Tissues

From what we've seen from the trailers, it looks like the revival may be more emotional than a pregnant Sookie. Richard has sadly passed away, Lorelai and Rory both seem to be feeling lost, and there are THREE ex-boyfriends returning. Add this all together and it means tears, happy or sad, so make sure tissues are within reach.

5. An Open Mind

Every "Gilmore Girls" fan has an idea of where they think Lorelai and Rory's lives have taken them. For me, Lorelai and Luke are still together in Stars Hollow and Rory is in NYC with Logan (OR JESS I CAN'T DECIDE!) taking on the Time's. But we can't always get what we want, and in order to appreciate this revival to its fullest, fans need to go in simply appreciating the fact that the gang is back.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
