When walking on campus or even in the grocery store you can always pick out the ag kids. It's not that we are different from anyone else, we just like to dress in our own way. I guess you can say we were raised that way.
You can tell we're ag kids because we own...
1. A Favorite Pair of Cowboy Boots
GiphyWe all own them, it's that one pair that are just perfectly broke in. We wear them every time we go out, so catch us out on the dance floor.
2. At Least One Ag Branded Ball Cap
Most own way more than one, whether we got it when we were at the John Deere dealership or from our local Coop, we wear them with pride.
3. At Least One '90s Country Song on iTunesÂ
GiphyFrom Shania, to Garth '90s country music fills up at least half of my playlist. You can hear us driving by with our country music blaring.
4. An FFA T-Shirt
They may be from our years of High School FFA, but we will never throw them out as they remind us of the people we have met and the memories we made being a part of the Future Farmers of America.
5. A Favorite Pair of Jeans
GiphyOh, yes, the comfy, fits perfectly, favorite pair of jeans. May we never out grow them.
6. A Show/Rodeo/Brand Jacket
As the weather turns colder our come our jackets. Yes, our jackets do look a little different as we love to rep the associations we are part of and the shows we've been in.
7. A Belt/Buckle
To most a belt is just part of their attire, but to an Ag kid their belt holds a buckle that shows others what hard work, dedication and determination is.
8. An Eat Beef/Pork License Plate
You know where we are parked based on the fact that we all have the same "Eat Beef" license plate. Hey, why wouldn't we support our fellow Ag commodity.
9. An Vintage Piece of Clothing
Whether it's a vintage button up, wool coat or a pair of retro wrangler jeans most of us took from our parents closet we all at least have one retro country item in our wardrobe.
Those are just a few, and I'm sure I could name more and yes, we may dress a little different but as '90s country singer Tracy Bird said, "I'm from the country and I like it that way."
