Happy Thanksgiving, all.

Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite times of the year. Not only because my grandma is a bomb chief, but also because I genuinely do reflect on everyday things that I am thankful for. Since being in college, Thanksgiving has become a time that I am more thankful for than ever. I could create a list of things that I don't say thank you for enough, but for now, her is a simple list of things us college students are a little more grateful for this year.

1. Real food

Oh, the joy of not having to eat ramen for dinner.

2. No class

A few days off from class? I'll take it.

3. We can finally see the end

The end of the semester that is, of course.

4. We made it through the piles of work teachers give us the week before Thanksgiving break

You know, because our minds aren't already focused on the break that is five days away.

5. Sleeping through that 8:30 a.m. class

Let me just hit the snooze button really quick.

6. Seeing family

Who knew how much you could look forward to hearing your uncle's bad jokes at Thanksgiving dinner.

7. Catching up with old friends

It is always great getting to catch up with the three best friends you still have from High School.

8. Christmas break!

Need I say more??

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
