19 Things You Need To Add To Your 2019 Bucket List, Even Though It's Already February

In This Article:

Everyone has a bucket list. Maybe it's not necessarily an actual, physical list, but there's still a list inside your head.

During the start of each year, I compile a list of things I want to do, places I want to go, and ultimately things I want to accomplish. While it may be almost two months into the new year--and February has gone by like a car going 80mph in a 35mph zone--there's still plenty of time to add onto your list!

To keep it simple, there are 19 things that you should add for your 2019 bucket list:

1. Study abroad or travel abroad

Whether that's flying to Ireland to visit victorian castles with your family, or if you had to submit an application to go skydiving in Australia, you should do it! Traveling and studying abroad are experiences you won't ever forget.

2. Binge-watch at least one TV show on Netflix

You've got to do it, just to say that you've done it!

3. Learn how to cook something only Gordon Ramsay would know how to cook

Hopefully you won't end up thinking, "I'm totally an idiot sandwich."

4. Pray more

"Worry is a conversation you have with yourself about things you cannot change. Prayer is a conversation you have with God about things he can change."

5. Adopt!

Nothing's better than getting to give an animal a new home!

6. Eat healthier

It's better for your body, mind, and overall health!

7. Go to church every Sunday

It might be complicated and "impossible" to do every Sunday, but you should strive to do so. Nothing beats getting up on Sunday's and praising the Lord.

8. Meet new people

Join an organization, a sports team, or even become a regular at your local coffee shop!

9. Use technology less

Be more in the present, talk to people and focus on the things that are truly important.

10. Read more!

Expand your mind and be able to travel into a whole new world without even leaving your room.

11. Fall in love

Well, why not?

12. Go to the beach more

Soak up the sun, ride the waves, and enjoy the salty air

13. Go to a concert of someone you've never heard of

Be spontaneous! You might even like the music!

14. Write something

Poetry, a short story, or even strive to write a novel.

15. Take more pictures

Make all the memories you can, and savor them forever!

16. Skydiving

You had to know this one was going to come up

17. Dye your hair

It's okay to get a little crazy sometimes, and it's a different way to express yourself!

18. Read your Bible

Getting closer with God should always be on your bucket list

19. Live life to the absolute fullest

Whatever this means to you, whether it's donating money to the homeless shelter, picking up and going camping for the weekend, or spending time with family, do it!

Everybody has different things that they want to accomplish during this year. While everyone has different goals and tasks on that list, these are 19 that you should try and add!

Living life to the fullest and not wasting a second of a day is more than important--you never know when your time is up. So in the wise words of Tim McGraw, "Someday I hope you get the chance, to live like you're dying."

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
