Things I Would Like To Learn To Do

These are a few things I'd love to know how to do (whether just for fun or to survive the zombie apocalypse, here is my list).

1. How to keep bees:

Bees are dying out so quickly that there is a petition to get them on the United States' endangered species list. I think it would be cool to learn how to keep them safe and off the endangered species list. Hopefully my attempts don't turn out like the guy above.

2. How to paint with watercolors:

Art is a beautiful thing. I can't think of a better way to show my appreciation to art and artists alike than to learn to paint. One day when I am rich I will pay all you wonderful artists, but for now I will learn to paint.

3. How to make candles:

Who doesn't love candles? I am a candle fanatic. I think it would be totally legit to be able to make my own candles with their own scents, colors, size, and fancy styles. Making candles would be a really cool skill!

4. How to code:

Coding could be a valuable skill in today's technological world and it would be very helpful just knowing the basics of how things like the internet work. Also, I'd like to be referred to as Hackerman when I learn to code, thanks.

5. How to bind books:

As a lover of books, I have often sat and wondered how books were bound before they were being mass produced. I have also wondered how I would ever get my beloved books fixed because in all honesty, I am not the nicest to them. Well, bookbinding was my answer and after some research I decided that I wanted to learn to bind books! It would be so cool to fix up old books for a library or museum!

6. How to become a TeaMaster:

Now, before you go shaking your head at me, tea mastery is a real thing. They have schools you can go to that teach you how to make tea from the actual tea leaves, how to mix them to make your own flavors, or teas to help with certain ailments!! I think that'd be a pretty cool gig.

These are just a few things I think would be cool to know how to do. I hope you find them neat too!!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
