2019 Is Set To Be The Year Of Normani

There always seems to be a new artist we hear about every week. So I figured I introduce you to a new artist that has been in the game for a minute, but she is a new solo artist to the masses. Meet Normani Kordei, and she is taking the music industry by storm. You may remember her from the girl group, Fifth Harmony, but now she is making a name for herself in the industry. She started to make herself a household name when she did Dancing With The Stars in 2017 and showed the world that she was a force that was coming to take over the world.

Normani has been making moves since 2018 starting with her collaboration with Khalid for the soundtrack for the movie Love Simon. The song "Love Lies" was one of the biggest songs in 2018 and is still being played on the radio. She made an even bigger statement at her first live performance as a solo artist at the Billboard Music Awards. She has also released three singles from her upcoming album and collaborated so far with hitmaker Calvin Harris and notable Atlanta rapper 6LACK. She was also a feature on Quavo's song, Swing, for his solo album and she is a fan favorite off of the project. But she didn't stop there; she kicked the new year off with new record with Sam Smith called "Dancing with a Stranger" and it's been a hit on the charts and Youtube with their music video.

She can sing and dance with confidence and fierce energy. She has been compared to Janet Jackson and Beyonce, two legends who both have given her so much praise for her talent and work ethic. She has performed at The IHeart Radio JingleBall and was chosen to perform a Janet Jackson Tribute. She has done so much in a short amount of time, and she is just getting started.

Her rise is even getting bigger in the first quarter of this year. She's set to open for Ariana Grande on her Sweetener Tour, and her debut album is set to come out this summer. 2019 is set to be the year of Normani, and it is definitely in her favor.
