I think I’m going to start eating clean when I go back to Clemson this August to kick off my senior year. I have friends who are eating clean and loving how their bodies are reacting, so I figured I better join the movement before I explode from all the sugar, salt, and fried food I eat. So, to commemorate my long lasting, wonderful relationship with greasy (read: yummy) food, I decided to make a list of my favorite fast food restaurants.

5. Moe’s

Moe’s was recently put above Chipotle as the most popular Mexican Fast Food according to Americans. Thank goodness because I’ve been saying this for years. Moe’s has queso. Moe’s is cheaper. Moe’s gives you free chips and salsa. Moe’s doesn’t taste like grass. MOE’S IS BETTER. Also, you can’t help but smile when the entire staff screams, “WELCOME TO MOE’S” at you upon entering.

My Order: Joey Bag of Donuts (ground beef, lettuce, cheese, queso), chips and salsa, water

4. Arby’s

I always forget about Arby’s because it’s not anywhere near me, but as soon as I see one I remember the savory taste of their roast beef. I don’t usually like roast beef from the grocery store because sometimes it has gross, chewy bits, but not at Arby’s. Their roast beef is always up to par.

My Order: Roast Beef and Cheddar, curly fries, Pepsi

3. Zaxby’s

Zaxby’s was the love of my life growing up. Every single one of my birthday was spent at Zaxby’s. Their signature Zax Sauce is to die for. You just can’t beat the simplicity of fried chicken and fries. Their salads are equally as amazing. Everyday, I pray for the states who have yet to have a Zaxby’s.

My Order: Chicken Finger Plate (chicken fingers, seasoned fries, Texas toast, cole slaw, Zax Sauce, Ranch), sweet tea

2. Five Guys Burgers and Fries

My boyfriend said I had to include a burger place, and Five Guys definitely takes the top burger fast food. I’ve never been to In-And-Out or Whataburger, so Five Guys holds my heart right now. (If you live near one of these, contact me and I will give you my mailing information to send me a burger and fries. It’s for research. I promise.) Five Guys is greasy and wonderful and has a plethora of toppings to choose from.

My Order: Little Bacon Cheeseburger “All The Way”, small fry, water

1. Chick-Fil-A

Chick-Fil-A is number one is my heart FOREVER. Don’t even try to convince me otherwise. You cannot beat their incredible food, fantastic customer service, and loving atmosphere. All the haters who won’t step in a Chick-Fil-A because it’s a “Christian” establishment are crazy. Yes, Chick-Fil-A IS a Christian establishment, but that only means they are constantly exemplifying God’s love. Seriously, just look up all the different times Chick-Fil-A has done something nice out of a kind heart for someone else. Chick-Fil-A is bae.

My Order: Number Five Eight Count (8 nuggets, medium fry, sweet tea)

These are my top five picks for the best fast foods, but let's all be serious- anything breaded and fried is heavenly.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
